Titanium dioxide is the most important pigment in coating, paint, lacquer and ink production. It covers more than 59% of the global pigment demand. The prices for TiO2 have risen since 2009. Therefore a growing demand for improved dispersion systems has appeared. A new and advanced technology has started to displace the conventional mixing process. Companies which use this new technology for processing titanium dioxide have reported about enormous savings in production costs and process times. Additional effects are a higher degree of dispersion and the development of new formulations with better quality and new characteristics.
